IDFC India vs South Africa Test Series
Environment design for the title sequence promoting the IDFC India vs South Africa Test Series 2025: India Gate, the Gateway of India and a stadium in one 3D world.

01 — Context
For the promotion of the IDFC India vs South Africa Test Series 2025, the title sequence needed to travel through India’s landmarks before landing in the stadium. Sparsh Dhiman (Sprsh) designed the 3D environments for the sequence, working under the creative direction of Krsna Konar with storyboards by Ragasketch.
02 — The challenge
Each landmark had to be recognisable at a glance, hold up to sweeping camera moves, and feel like one continuous world, while staying light enough to render on a broadcast schedule.
03 — Process: blockout
Sprsh started from the storyboard, blocking out India Gate, the Gateway of India and a full stadium in simple geometry. Colour-coded clay passes let the team lock camera angles, scale and composition before any detailing.

04 — Process: modelling and clay
Approved blockouts were detailed into full architecture: carved arches, domes and turrets, lamp posts, barriers, palms and dense city tree cover. Neutral clay renders checked silhouette and lighting before materials went on.

05 — Process: look development
Final passes added sandstone and basalt materials, sky and atmosphere, from soft daylight to a dusk shot with a light trail streaking through India Gate, and a night aerial of the Gateway of India over the harbour.

06 — The result
A connected set of landmark environments that carried the title sequence from Delhi to Mumbai to the stadium, ready for the camera moves in the storyboard.
